Wayne Anderson: Singer of Songs is a comedy series that revolves around an aspiring and cherubic 47 year old singer of evergreen favourites, Wayne Anderson. The series follows the continued efforts of Wayne and his clueless agent, Orlando Stewart ( who moonlights as a video store
worker ) to help Wayne break into the commercial music scene. Unsullied by a rejection in the preliminary rounds of New Zealand Idol, Wayne, a devoted singer of Tom Jones hits walks around in a white suit reminiscent of John Travolta’s outfit in Saturday Night Fever and is
convinced that he is indeed music’s sexiest and next big thing. Will Hollywood beckon or is Wayne destined for a career as the afternoon distraction in the resthome circuit?
